MG Sinanj - DAT SHINE by lupesisagundam MG Sinanj - DAT SHINE by lupesisagundam
I don't think I can ever go back to a point and shoot camera. Manual mode and being able to play with every little thing on a camera FTW.

If you're going the yellow Sinanju route, be ready for some stiff competition haha.

Thanks though!

and this gaijin guy works over at HLJ nonetheless!
unfortunately, white balance of the photos seems a little off. but now i am sure of the yellow color scheme ^_^

Yes, GaiGun does awesome work. Actually, he and I (along with busterbeam and the american salaryman in tokyo) built our Sinanju at the same time. He's the one who gave the name 'Blue Berserker' to this kit! He's an awesome guy, very chill and helpful.

grats! Unfortunately, I don't have any tips to give out since I did mine by hand with a size 0 tamiya brush without masking ^^; The most I can say is don't settle for less than perfect and work on things in stages. No need to paint the whole part first, you can do a little bit and then come back to another area of it later once the paint has dried properly.

yeah ive been thinking of hand painting it too now that u mention it i think i might jus take that path since i think those parts would be too small to mask and would be hard to cut the tape on it.=/ but thaankss for ur input man!

I prefer the blue over the red...

you and me both! I think that this beats out most other colors, though I've seen others that look just as awesome.

Black and a dark gold/bronze might also look good for like a honour guard unit or a command unit even...

True enough, but Black/Gold has been done by my buddy busterbeam and I'd hate to rip him off, haha.

Thanks! I've discovered that the Mr. Hobby clear gloss is what really gives it such a full shine, which makes it all the more annoying that I'm not able to really get my hand son it any more. I intend to experiment with mr. Super Clear Gloss and hope for a similar effect, though.

Humm, I don't really know the difference between Mr Hobby clear gloss or Mr. Super Clear Gloss... ^^;
I hope that you will be to able to have the same effect...

I have at home a 1/60 Gerbera Tetra from G-System, I don't know if you know their products, it is a resin kit with a very high quality, with a lot of extra parts (aluminium, metal etches, etc...)and I'm thinking how I will paint it... I may keep the red/salmon color scheme but considering the price of the kit I really want a top notch finish ! ;)
Here is a link to te review I have done on a forum, (It's in french but you may be able to see the pictures ! :) => [link] I you have any suggestion about the colors ! :D

Actually I was thinking about buying that kit at some point when I had the money, haha! I think it'll look good in the default colors, though a darker red or combination blue/white would also look pretty tough. Suits with curves like that look pretty with with colors that you can get a nice reflection off of to show the curves and shine. I intend to go with a mica blue silver with it, just like I did with Sinanju.

Thanks to you for the all the suggestions ! :handshake: I will think about it !
I was able to buy it on E2046 on Januray only thanks to the E2046 Winter contest that I won so I add a very persuasive 200$ cash coupon discount lol ! But that's sure that I can't buy such kits every time ! ^^;

Some, Zaku II 2.0s, RX-78-2 2.0s and Sinanju are the only ones I can think of atm.

Still that's fairly impressive, make me even more drooly over what they've worked into the PG Raiser.

Meh, nothing to amazing imho aside from the rotating gn drives (which we don't get to put together) and the locking mechanism for the joints. As far as PGs go I don't think it really warrants such an insane price tag.

Yeah, it's sad how expensive they are. I still want an "enemy" PG kit, I mean hell the last one the did was the Titans MK II.

Yeah, though I'd certainly like to work on that one. the 130-200 range isn't bad since those are usually bigger kits (GP01, Zeta, Strike Rouge), but I find it really hard to figure out why the 00 Raiser is more than 250ish.

For an older kit the PG MkII is well designed. It's biggest(maybe only) flaw is the waist joint which is a simple ball-joint. It's really a different feel once completed as well, considering that it holds more to the practical and effective side of Gundam than the giant chicken-legs side. Aside from that, it's insanely well balanced which makes it quite easily posed without a stand. Sadly mine broke right around it's waist(the joint I mentioned), so I don't display it anymore...considering the low cost(comparative to other PGs), it's cheap enough to buy again, there's also the AEUG Mk II if you don't care for keeping it original colors.

Sinanju looks pretty good if you replace the red with a lot of things. Blue looks the best IMO, but a nice green or amber isn't half bad.

thanks! either of those wouldn't be too tough to build, plus I'd like to work on either of those kits. do you have a good example of how you wanted the colors laid out via lineart or anything like that? I can provide lineart for a zaku, but I don't think I have GN-X lineart handy.
